The event took place on December 6, jointly organized by Google Developer Group Ho Chi Minh City and Women Techmakers Ho Chi Minh City under the sponsorship of Google for Developers. The activities aim to improve the quality of human resources in the field of programming technology and promote innovation with AI.
devFest HCMC 2025 focuses on AI trends
devFest HCMC 2025 is part of the devFest annual event for the programming community organized by Google Developer Groups (GDG) HCMC, returning to the largest scale ever.
This year, the event is implemented throughout three stages: Road to devFest (special seminar series), devFest on campus (an event accompanying students of six universities in Ho Chi Minh City) and the main festival to bring technology closer to students and young people who are passionate about technology.
The event gathered experts working in large technology companies, speakers who are experts from the Google Developer Experts community, technology enterprises and the Vietnamese software engineer community.
The devFest HCMC 2025 sharing sessions revolve around the theme of AI, Google Cloud, web and application development and the strong transformation of major language models. Attendees not only listen to sharing but also practice with the latest AI tools from Google. The team of experts from the Google ecosystem has brought practical perspectives on how AI technology is changing the process of creating digital products.
This is also a special point that makes many young people look forward to devFest HCMC 2025. In addition to direct access to technologies applied by leading enterprises, attendees also participate in practice sessions and participate in-depth sharing from experts, helping to strengthen practical skills and expand career perspectives in the context of a strongly competitive technology market.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Duong, representative of the organizing committee, shared: The team of programmers and technology engineers not only need knowledge but also need to master AI and new tools. devFest HCMC 2025 is organized to help them shorten that gap".

Bringing AI into solving social problems
Within the framework of the event, Sudo Code demo Day, a skills training program organized by Women Techmakers HCMC, attracted attention when the teams presented AI solutions to support the deaf community. The latest projects using natural language processing and AI show the creativity and social responsibility of young Vietnamese people.
The projects presented show the maturity in product thinking of young Vietnamese people, when technology is not only a technical tool but also a commitment to accompany and share with disadvantaged groups.
At the end of the event series that has spans over 30 days, devFest HCMC 2025 has attracted more than 1,000 registrations, continuing to affirm its role as one of the most popular technology events for the programming community and technology engineers in Ho Chi Minh City.
