The iPhone 17 series is Apple's latest iPhone line to launch in 2025, following the iPhone 16 series. The recent iPhone 17 sales program has given users the opportunity to own new models with many impressive upgrades in design, performance and durability.
However, contrary to expectations, some images circulating on social media recently show that iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air have scratches after only a short time of use, raising questions about the product's anti-scratch capabilities.
According to MacRumors, scratches are often seen on dark versions, especially the Dark Blue iPhone 17 Pro, the iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Black iPhone Air Khong Gian.
Users sharing on the X platform ( social media) said that signs of mild wear and tear can be clearly recognized, despite the fact that the device is being promoted by Apple to be equipped with a new generation Ceramic Shield protective glass layer.
Notably, this year's iPhone 17 Pro has switched from a titanium frame to a 10,000-m2 warehouse aluminum frame, a type of aerial-standard material that is considered more durable and lighter.
Apple also added Ceramic Shield 2 to enhance cracking resistance, while maintaining IP68 dust and water resistance.
Meanwhile, the iPhone Air uses a titanium frame, combined with Ceramic Shield on both the front and rear, which is expected to be more effective against scratches.
However, the reality shows that leaked reports and images of scratches have made users worried. It is not yet clear exactly what caused this phenomenon, as well as how the problematic models have been used.
Some experts say that the protective glass layer can be strongly impact-resistant but is still unlikely to avoid scratches in daily living conditions, especially in dark tones that easily reveal flaws.
While waiting for Apple's official response, technology experts recommend that users be cautious when using them, while considering equipping them with a back cover and screen protective patch to limit risks.
With high prices and the status of a flagship product, the durability of iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone Air will certainly continue to be a hot topic of discussion in the user community.
