On August 8, the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Thap province and the Vietnam Internet Center Branch in Ho Chi Minh City (VNNIC) signed a cooperation agreement "Coordinate to strengthen the management and development of Internet resources in Dong Thap province".
Mr. Le Quang Khoi - Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Dong Thap province and Mr. Do Quang Trung - Head of VNNIC Branch agreed to sign a coordination agreement with 7 main contents.
In particular, implementing activities to manage, inspect and supervise the effective use of national Internet resources (including domain names .vn, IP/ASN). In particular, the Program promotes and supports people, businesses, and business households to have a reliable and safe online presence with digital services using the national domain name ".vn" in Dong Thap.
The two sides also agreed to deploy the application, convert information technology infrastructure, connect the Internet to the new generation IPv6, develop Industrial Internet, Internet of Things (loT); support the planning of connecting the province's network infrastructure to the national Internet transit point system (VNIX); develop the VNIX member ecosystem at the provincial level...
According to Mr. Le Quang Khoi, this cooperation is considered the beginning for Dong Thap to break through, be dynamic, make digital technology a core driving force for development and integration, contributing to local socio-economic development.
