iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max prices do not increase
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities consulting and investment company, the selling price of the next 2 high-end iPhone models will not increase compared to the previous generation.
According to this expert, Apple's price strategy from iPhone 17e to MacBook Neo is to take advantage of memory scarcity to create a beneficial step for itself from ensuring chip supply, bearing increased costs, and increasing market share. In other words, Apple will not shift the burden of increased costs to consumers.
This also further reinforces the argument that Apple may keep the selling price unchanged for new iPhone models launched in the second half of this year," Ming-Chi Kuo analyzed. According to experts' forecasts, Apple may launch the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models by the end of 2026, alongside the first folding screen iPhone.
In addition, the regular iPhone 18 version will be postponed until exactly this time of 2027, along with the iPhone 18e.
Currently, iPhone 17 Pro is priced from 1,099 USD and Pro Max version from 1,199 USD. If Apple maintains this price for the 2 high-end iPhone 18 lines, consumers will benefit.
Jeff Pu, another market analyst, also affirmed that Apple will not increase prices for iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, and the prices of these two products will be equivalent to iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max. In a February 2026 research report that MacRumors obtained, Pu said Apple is considering keeping prices at a similar level by focusing on "cost management".
According to Jeff Pu, Apple has negotiated with Samsung and SK Hynix to reach agreements on memory chips that he calls "beneficial" and hopes to reduce the costs of other parts, such as cameras and screens.
Apple's strategy has gained attention because it goes against the general trend, as some manufacturers are raising smartphone prices due to rising costs. "This move is noteworthy in the current memory market context. DRAM and NAND chip prices have increased sharply in recent months. This is mainly due to a surge in demand from companies building AI server infrastructure. That surge is affecting the costs of storage and memory components across the electronics industry," international media commented.
iPhone Fold price equivalent to Galaxy Z Fold 7
In addition to iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, the price of Apple's first folding screen iPhone – iPhone Fold – is also of interest to international media. According to Phone Arena, the folding screen iPhone will start from $1,999 USD. For comparison, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 was also launched for $1,999 USD in 2025. Fold 7 is one of the best folding screen flagships recently launched.
In addition, the price of iPhone Fold will increase by an additional $200 for each storage capacity increase, which is about $2,199 for the 512 GB version and $2,399 for the 1 TB version.
Previously, market experts assessed that the expected selling price of this iPhone Fold was "unbelievably low," because there was previously a lot of information that this product would be priced from 2,400 USD or more.
If the starting price is exactly $1,999 USD, iPhone Fold can attract a large number of users and create fierce competition with other competitors such as Samsung, Huawei, Oppo, Xiaomi, Honor... in the folding smartphone market.
