Google Docs tests additional artificial intelligence features

Google Docs is testing a "Help me create" feature powered by Gemini, an artificial intelligence tool.

In addition to the existing “Help me write” feature, Gemini in Google Docs goes even further with the “Help me create” feature.

This feature lets you “create formatted documents from scratch,” and is especially useful when you attach existing Drive files. The generated content can include illustrations and cover art. For example:

“Help me create a content plan for a blog post about healthy superfoods. Include potential recipes, nutritional information, ingredients, and personal tips”;

“Can you help draft a message for my team thanking them for their hard work and reminding them that Monday is a holiday? I want it to be work-appropriate, but fun with emojis and jokes or puns!”;

“Can you help me create a detailed babysitter manual, including day and night schedules, allergies, snacks, each child's favorite toys, and emergency contact numbers?”

Here are some examples of what you can do with the "Help me create" feature in Google Docs. In general, you can create: Proposals, Project Trackers, Blog Posts, Press Releases, Campaign Briefs, Dinner Party Menus, Family Newsletters, and Vacation Itineraries, among others.

Google recommends that you clearly specify the audience and purpose in your message when using the "Help me create" feature.
