NotebookLM - a tool developed by Google, has just been expanded to users aged 13 and over. However, the minimum age of use still depends on the regulations of each country. NLM is also integrated as a core service in the Google Workspace for Education for all ages set.
NotebookLM, now integrated with Gemini AI power, allows users to download documents (ocuments, PDF, website, Google Docs/Slides) and quickly create a digital notebook. After that, learners can ask questions, watch content summaries, create thinking diagrams, and even receive video presentations or recordings such as audits.
Despite its convenience, NLM can still make mistakes, which is common with all generative AI. However, each content created by the tool has a clear source, making it easy for users to check again.
Google confirmed that it will not use posted documents or conversation content to train AI. In addition, the company also provides "shaped notebooks" for users to experience without having to download personal documents.
