Israel has a small area, most of which is desert and rocky plateau, but thanks to the development and application of breakthrough technologies, Israeli agriculture still thrives. Israel is famous for its smart drop- drop irrigation technology, helping to use water in agriculture both economically and effectively.

Mr. Le Van Kien - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Hai Phong said that in the context of climate change, water resource shortage and the need to improve productivity and quality of agricultural products, the access and application of advanced technological solutions, especially from countries with strengths like Israel, is important for the development of modern, smart and sustainable agriculture in Hai Phong.
Mr. Kien expressed his hope that in the coming time, cooperation with Israeli enterprises will be expanded in transferring science - technology, equipment, building smart farm models, applying advanced water technology, and organizing training, testing and replication of solutions suitable to the actual conditions of the city. The Department of Science and Technology is committed to creating all favorable conditions for mechanisms, policies and resources so that the connection and transfer of technology can be effectively implemented, contributing to improving agricultural productivity and quality and contributing to the socio-economic development of Hai Phong.
At the event, delegates were introduced to an overview of the need for high-tech application in the agricultural sector in Hai Phong, and listened to Israeli businesses present and demonstrate advanced technology solutions in the fields of smart irrigation, water management and treatment, aquaculture, high-quality crop variety production and sustainable agricultural development. Many solutions have attracted the attention of domestic units and enterprises.
At the program, activities connecting technology supply and demand were held directly between Vietnamese enterprises and Israeli enterprises, creating conditions for exchanges, learning about needs, cooperation opportunities, technology transfer, and moving towards forming practical application projects in the coming time.
