The workshop was organized by the Hai Phong City Union of Science and Technology Associations in coordination with the City's Labor Safety and Hygiene Association. Dr. Bui Thanh Tung - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Union of Science and Technology Associations; Master Nguyen Van Kinh - Vice Chairman of the Hai Phong City Union of Science and Technology Associations and Ms. Tran Kim Thoa - Chairman of the Hai Phong Labor Safety and Hygiene Association co-chaired. The workshop was attended by representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, sectors and units.
Dr. Bui Thanh Tung - Chairman of the Hai Phong City Union of Science and Technology Associations, opening the workshop, said that ESG is a set of criteria for comprehensively assessing business operations in three aspects: environment, social responsibility and governance. Currently, ESG has increasingly played an important role in the decisions of investors, customers and stakeholders. The workshop was held to provide the business community, associations and specialized scientific and technical associations in the city with basic knowledge about ESG; clarify the importance and role of ESG in the green transformation and sustainable development of the city, and share the results and experiences of organizing and practicing ESG at a number of enterprises for reference and replication.
At the workshop, delegates listened to experts, scientists and managers present, exchange and share comprehensive knowledge related to ESG; clarify how to deploy, build and apply the ESG system in business operations. At the same time, the presentations also introduced practical experiences and specific implementation results of the ESG model in a number of fields and enterprises in the city, thereby contributing to raising awareness, promoting the application of ESG associated with the green transformation and sustainable development process of Hai Phong City.
