According to analyst Jeff Pu, Apple's first two foldable devices have entered the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase at Foxconn. The mass production process is expected to start from the second half of 2026.
Analyst Jeff Pu said that these folding devices will enter the prototype testing phase early in April this year. Although he did not disclose specific details, he is said to be referring to Apple's first foldable iPhone model, which can have an internal screen of up to 8 inches, along with a foldable iPad model with a screen size of up to 19 inches.
In addition, Jeff Pu predicts that the iPhone sales outlook in 2025 will not be very promising, partly due to Apple's delay in launching personalized Siri features to an unknown time "next year."
Rumors about foldable iPhones and iPads have been around for years, and it seems that these devices are getting closer to launch, unless they encounter major obstacles.
If mass production begins as planned in the second half of 2026, the devices could be launched by Apple later that year or early 2027.
