Samsung's next Galaxy Unpacked event is scheduled to take place at 10am on July 9 (New York time), coinciding with previous rumors about the earlier event than usual.
The highlight of the event will be the pair of foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, along with the Galaxy Watch 8 series of smartwatch. In addition, Samsung is likely to tear off the developing mixed reality wearable device code "Project Moohan," although not fully announced.
Although not officially revealed, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are expected to bring significant improvements in design, thinner and more durable hillside, and upgraded camera performance as well as processor chips. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch 8 series may be equipped with a new generation of health sensors, improved battery life and added more accurate sleep tracking features.
The Unpacked event in July is also considered a stepping stone for Samsung to "heat up" the technology race in the second half of the year, before the launch of the new generation iPhone. In addition to the hardware, the company may introduce additional improvements related to Galaxy AI - an artificial intelligence platform that Samsung is investing heavily in, to maintain its position in the AI race among the big guys.
Although Project Moohan - a wearable device that supports mixed reality has not been officially launched, being teased at Unpacked this time shows that Samsung does not want to miss the trend that Apple and Meta are promoting.
