This is the first time a digital payment exhibition, combined with the Zalopay Year End Fes 2024 (YEF24) shopping super festival, has been held in Vietnam, taking place at Nguyen Hue walking street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City from November 28 to December 1. The event has gathered 30 major brands in many fields to participate.
In addition, there are nearly 100 booths serving a variety of unique entertainment, shopping, and art activities for visitors. As of noon on November 29, the event has attracted more than 7,000 visitors and shoppers.
In line with the Government's strategy to promote cashless payments, the organizers expect this event to become the opening milestone for a series of annual cashless shopping and entertainment events, aiming towards a smart and sustainable consumer community.
Non-cash payments have grown rapidly in Vietnam. According to the State Bank of Vietnam, the average number of payment transactions via the Internet and Mobile channels in the period 2021-2023 increased by 52% and 103.3%, respectively.
