Instagram has just announced a series of new analytics to support content creators to track the performance of each post, understand viewer behavior and adjust creative strategies to increase interaction as well as followers, following hindusttimes.
The highlight of the update is the detailed analytics tools for Reels and carousel-style posts.
With Reel Like Insights, users can know exactly which moment in the video has attracted likes, through an intuitive interactive chart. In addition, the system also displays the number of shares, savings, comments and total accounts that have interacted with the video.
Carousel Like Insights will work similarly, but focus on posts with multiple photos. The creator can clearly see which slides in carousel have made the viewer " like" them, specifically analyzing the interaction ratio between followers and non- followers.
Another important change is the ability to view separate demographic data for each post or Reel, which was previously only available at the full account level.
Thanks to that, creators can accurately identify which audience segment is interacting well with specific content about age, gender or geography.
In addition, the growth of followers analysis section has also been updated. Now, users can clearly identify which Reel or post contributes the most to new followers, or causes unfollowing.
This statistic helps evaluate the effectiveness of content directly, instead of just following the previous camences.
Finally, Instagram announced that it will soon replace the Accessed Account Number index with a new index, the Viewers index. This is a measure of synthesis, classifying interaction according to each type of content, to provide a more comprehensive picture of the level of spread and attraction of creators on the platform.
These tools are gradually being rolled out to global users. This move shows Instagram's (owned by Meta) efforts to provide in-depth analytics data, helping creators optimize content, increase connectivity and develop a community of followers sustainably.
