iOS 18.2 will fix one of the most annoying points of the new Photos app.

Apple introduced a completely new look for the Photos app in iOS 18, after years of remaining largely unchanged.

As usual, while some users are happy with the update, many are still not used to the new interface.

However, there is one major annoyance in the new Photos app that Apple is going to fix in iOS 18.2.

With the third beta of iOS 18.2 just released to developers, Apple has made a small but important change to the video player in the Photos app.

Previously, on iOS 18 versions, videos were displayed with white borders around them and users had to tap the screen to view full screen. Now, videos always play in full screen mode like older versions.

The video scroll bar and playback controls are still there, but the white border around the video has been removed. Now, when you tap the screen, only the interface buttons appear or disappear, just like before.

Since the first beta of iOS 18.0 in June, Apple has made a number of tweaks to the Photos app based on feedback from users and developers.

Since the first beta of iOS 18.0 in June, Apple has made a lot of changes to the Photos app based on feedback from users and developers.

The app is now fully customizable and the internal navigation has been changed, which some users find too complicated.

Along with the anticipated Photos app change, note that iOS 18.2 is expected to be publicly released in December of this year.
