This feature makes it easy for users to evaluate charging speed and optimize daily battery charging habits.
When the device is connected to the charger, the iPhone will display an estimated time remaining until the battery is full. Thanks to that, users can know whether the device is charging fast or slow. For example, if you use a Qi wireless charger that is limited to 5W, the iPhone will warn you that you are using a slow charger.
Information about the full charging time will be displayed in the "Pin" section of the Settings application, as well as on the lock Screen. Although there is currently no separate utility for this feature, Apple may add it in later updates.
This feature is part of a series of small but practical improvements that Apple brings to iOS 26, to enhance the daily user experience. With the ability to accurately track charging time, users can easily decide which charger to use to suit their needs, especially in situations where a quick charger is needed before going out. This is also a small but remarkable step forward in Apple's journey to optimize performance and convenience for iPhone users.
Mac users have had similar features before but have been removed. Now, the charging time prediction feature is available to experienced developers in the iOS 26 beta, and will be officially released in the fall of this year.
