Optimize battery on Android phone

Anh Vũ |

Maintaining longer battery life on your Android phone isn't difficult when you know the tricks.

Methods include turning off Always-On Display to reduce screen wear, enabling Dark Mode for OLED devices, and limiting background apps to help reduce battery load while maintaining performance.

In particular, turning off the “Hey Google” recognition feature and reducing the screen refresh rate also significantly helps save battery.

Other simple battery optimization tricks include activating Android's built-in battery saver mode when the battery is low. This is one of the quickest ways to extend the battery life of your device without having to disable many important features.

Reducing the screen brightness to a suitable level is also effective, especially in low-light environments. For devices with OLED screens, the Dark Mode setting is the optimal choice to reduce power consumption.

Along with that, effective background application management helps prevent unnecessary applications from running in the background and draining battery. By going to the settings, you can limit access to rarely used applications.

Finally, for overall battery optimization, you can also reduce the screen refresh rate from 120Hz or 144Hz to 60Hz, if you don't need the high smoothness. Although this may slightly affect the visual experience, it will save a lot of battery in the long run.
