According to statistics from market research firm Counterpoint Research, iPhone 16 achieved the highest sales in the first quarter of 2025, while this title in the same period in 2023 and 2024 belonged to the model 14 Pro Max and 15 Pro Max.
The iPhone 16 model has good sales in the Japanese, Middle Eastern and African markets. In particular, Japan achieved the highest growth rate thanks to improved economic conditions, as well as government subsidies to stimulate users to buy devices at affordable prices.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max and 16 Pro ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively. Pro lines face challenges in the Chinese market as the Chinese government has launched a policy to subsidize devices under 6,000 yuan (21 million 682 thousand VND); along with strong competition in the high-end segment from domestic companies such as Huawei, Oppo. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Plus also appeared in 10th place in the rankings.
In addition, the iPhone 16e version has an impressive launch. The machine is not in the I/2025 quarter rankings because it was just launched in March. However, Counterpoint said the product ranked 6th in the list of best-selling phone lines in March 2025. This success is said to be due to the significant upgrades in technology and extensions available on the high-end iPhone.
