New images shared by technology leak expert Sonny Dickson have provided the most detailed view ever of the design of Apple's first folding screen iPhone model.
These are non-functional prototypes, often used by accessory manufacturers to prepare to produce back covers and accessories before the product is officially launched. Although not a complete product, these models often fairly accurately reflect the final design.
Compared to previous leaked images, the new version shows the overall design of the device more clearly. The model is said to have a book-shaped folding design similar to a passport, with a 5.5-inch external screen and a 7.8-inch internal main screen.
When fully opened, the device is said to be only slightly smaller than the iPad mini.
Previous rumors said that the machine will use a super-thin titanium frame of about 4.5 mm, integrated Touch ID fingerprint sensor instead of Face ID and a dual camera cluster located horizontally on the back.
The new images also reveal some more details such as the exterior screen almost completely overflowing the bezel, the edges are slightly curved, the rear camera cluster has a new layout and the internal selfie camera is placed in the top left corner of the screen.
Another notable point is the product color. According to Sonny Dickson, this information is consistent with the previous opinion of leak expert Instant Digital that Apple may only offer a white version when the device is launched.
Previously, Mark Gurman - a Bloomberg journalist who follows Apple said that Apple wants to maintain the traditional color style instead of using striking colors.
If this becomes a reality, this will not be the first time Apple has applied a limited color strategy to a high-end product. Previously, Apple Vision Pro and Apple Watch Ultra also only had one color option when launched.
According to current rumors, the folding screen iPhone may be introduced by Apple in September 2026 along with the iPhone 18 Pro line. The device is predicted to have a starting price of over $2,000, becoming one of the most expensive iPhones ever produced by Apple.
