
In the context of science, technology and innovation being identified as a key driving force for national development, the Ministry of Science and Technology has coordinated with Vietnam Television to produce and broadcast the program "Aspiration for Foreign Affairs".
According to the Ministry of Science and Technology, the program chose a unique approach, instead of honoring achievements in a familiar way, the program tells scientific stories such as persistent journeys to overcome skepticism, silently contributing to the country with knowledge and social responsibility.
Scientists do not appear with titles or awards, but are seen as steadfast "light sources" to light up the path of knowledge, innovation and sustainable development for Vietnam.
According to the Organizing Committee, the program is structured into chapters, reflecting the flow of Vietnamese science from the early days of building the country to the current era of innovation. From the first generation of scientists who laid the foundation in difficult conditions, to the generation of application and expansion, and then the young faces are continuing the journey with a spirit of commitment and a global mindset.
In addition to recognizing the contributions of scientists, the program creates opportunities for generations of scientists to share experiences and exchange research paths with students and those interested in this field.

Many outstanding scientists are introduced and honored in the "Aspiration for the Year of the Sun" program in 2025 such as: Engineer Ho Quang Cua - Labor Hero with more than 40 years of persistent research, choosing to create rice varieties, bringing Vietnamese rice grains to the world rice map with ST25 variety.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thanh Liem - Hero of Labor, People's Doctor, who laid the foundation for pediatric endoscopic surgery in Vietnam, opening a new approach to modern medicine that focuses on pediatric patients.
The program also honors scientists of Dung Quat Oil Refinery for their scientific and technological projects that have brought great economic efficiency, affirming the role of research in the operation and development of key industrial projects.
In addition, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Minh Tan in the field of applied agriculture and engineer Huy Pham, representing the generation of entrepreneurs and high-tech engineers with products mastered by Vietnamese people recognized by the international market.
According to the Organizing Committee, another important content of the program is to introduce students and research projects that have achieved success at international scienceolimpics, as an affirmation that the "lighthouse" of Vietnamese science is being continued.
"Aspiration for Lighting" chose to tell a scientific story through the persistent journeys behind the works, thereby reflecting the role of science and scientific people in the development of the country. The program is expected to air on New Year's Day on VTV1 and VTV2 channels of Vietnam Television.
