Korea Game Week 2024 is a stepping stone for game industry exchange between Vietnam and Korea.

The 2024 Korean Game Week program, organized by the Korean Embassy in Vietnam in collaboration with the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam and the Korean Game Culture Foundation, took place successfully on November 23-24. The program was held at the Sports Complex, Hanoi National University, attracting more than 3,000 visitors.

Following the program successfully held for the first time last year in Da Nang, the 2024 Korean Game Week program this year has entered its second year with the aim of enhancing understanding, bilateral cooperation, and promoting the common development of the gaming industry and culture of Vietnam and Korea.

This year's program is more diverse and meaningful with the participation of more than 20 businesses operating in the gaming industry, 48 university students majoring in e-Sports and university students who love gaming culture, and more than 20 representatives from government agencies of the two countries.

In particular, the Final Round of the Vietnam - Korea Student e-Sports Exchange Competition with the participation of 24 representatives of e-Sports students from universities in Korea and 24 Vietnamese students who passed the qualifying round, brought dramatic moments of competition like a national level match.

The program also includes activities such as operating booths to promote game products of Korean game companies, connecting B2B trade between Korean game companies and Vietnamese game development and publishing companies.

Not only reaching out to Vietnamese youth, this year's 2024 Korean Game Week program also expands its scope to game businesses, contributing to making the program the largest Korean game festival in Vietnam.

At the meeting to discuss the game industry of the two countries, representatives of government agencies and businesses from both sides had in-depth discussions on cooperation and exchange plans in the game industry, thereby opening up new promising prospects for the development of the Korea Game Week in the future.

Mr. Choi Seung Jin, Director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam shared: “I would like to express my sincere thanks to the government agencies, related businesses and Hanoi people for their enthusiastic participation and response, contributing to the success of the second Korean Game Week program this year. We will do our best to bring a more comprehensive festival with more diverse games and richer experience programs in next year's program”.
