The Department of Science and Technology of Long An province officially announced 13 major problems of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation of Long An province for Vietnamese digital technology enterprises to participate in solving.
The list of 13 major problems of Long An province includes:
1. Build an open and innovative digital ecosystem and connect local institutions - schools - businesses.
2. Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) in building a system for analysis and forecasting the socio-economic development of the province.
3. Building a smart digital government of the province: Improving operational capacity and making decisions based on data.
4. Invest in equipment for the system to implement remote medical examination and treatment projects in Long An province.
5. Build a Smart Health Ecosystem of Long An province on a big data platform and artificial intelligence to serve the health care of all people.
6. Develop a smart hospital system in Long An province.
7. Build a database on education quality management.
8. Build and upgrade a database to comprehensively manage the education sector (including vocational education).
9. Develop and pilot training programs on the application of artificial intelligence in schools.
10. Software, information technology technical infrastructure to manage and operate the LMS online learning system for the entire industry.
11. Deploy online first-level admission services.
12. The big problem is the application of new technologies, strategic technologies: Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), big data, cloud computing, bringing breakthrough value to the development of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector of Long An province.
13. The big problem is the ability to create new products and services with practical value, serving the digital transformation of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector of Long An province, contributing to increasing labor productivity and increasing the efficiency of management and operation activities.
Previously, the People's Committee of Long An province issued Official Letter No. 6178/UBND-VHXH dated June 5, 2025 on the selection and announcement of a list of major problems in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee agreed with the list of major problems in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation of the province as proposed by the Department of Science and Technology.
The People's Committee of Long An province assigned the Department of Science and Technology to publish a list of major problems in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation of the province and send a report to the Ministry of Science and Technology according to the direction in Official Dispatch No. 873/BKHCN-CNCNTT dated April 16, 2025 and Official Dispatch No. 1739/BKHCN-CNCNTT dated May 22, 2025 of the Ministry of Science and Technology.
The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Science and Technology; Department of Health; Department of Education and Training; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate effectively with relevant agencies and units to study solutions to solve major problems of the unit to ensure compliance with the instructions of the Ministry of Science and Technology, bringing high efficiency.
