Textbooks are concerned early, the demand for foreign language learning increases sharply
Searches for "textbooks" in the period from June 1st to August 4th increased by 64% compared to the same period in 2025 and recorded a high level at the end of June - early July. In the Top 10 keywords, queries about training, summer training schedules and Knowledge Connection sets appeared prominently; some searches focused on Math and Natural Science books in grades 9, 10 and 12.
This development appears in the context that textbooks, teaching equipment and learning conditions are contents that the Government requests to review before the new school year.
In the foreign language group, the increase is more clearly shown. Search for "English learning" increased by 100% compared to the same period, strongly rebounding from mid-July and maintaining a high level until early August. "Chinese learning" increased by 26%, "Korean learning" increased by 23% and "Japanese learning" increased by 22%.
Expanding concerns to university graduation standards
Another notable slice is the "university output standards" group, with search volume increasing by 40% compared to the same period. The top keywords mainly focus on English and informatics output standards, and are also associated with some training institutions such as National Economics University, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Hanoi Medical University and Hanoi National University of Education.
The recorded data coincides with the peak period of university admissions in 2026. According to the plan of the Ministry of Education and Training, schools will announce admission scores (admission benchmarks) and lists of first-round admitted candidates before 5:00 PM on August 13th and admitted candidates need to confirm enrollment before 5:00 PM on August 21st.
Boarding rooms increase by 90%, laptops are searched by major
Among the surveyed groups, "rooms" and "dormitories" recorded an increase of 90% over the same period. Prominent queries not only related to finding accommodation but also included rental contracts, deposits, electricity prices, temporary residence registration and dormitory information. Concerns expanded from location to costs and related procedures.
In the learning support device group, searches for "laptops for students" increased by 25%. "Cheap student laptops" topped the list, while many other keywords related to majors such as economics, engineering, marketing, mechanics, architecture, information technology and medicine. Data shows that besides the price factor, users also search for devices according to the learning needs of each major.
Querries in the 2026 school opening season form a chain of information needs: preparing materials, learning foreign languages and output standards, arranging accommodation and choosing learning support equipment. The data is a cross-section reflecting the level of interest of Cốc Cốc users before the new school year, not consistent with the number of students enrolled, market size or actual sales.
