This program has brought in large rewards for some users who achieved the target of the number of posts and views.
Instagram's support page once clearly stated information about this reward program but now no longer mentioned Threads. On the Threads platform itself, many creators participating in the program said they have not received bonuses since the end of April. This comes almost a year after Meta launched the program to encourage content spread.
Although there is no official reason, the move to stop paying for popular content shows that Meta may be changing its strategy. The company is still trying to attract famous brands and characters to Threads, while testing some creator support tools such as additional linking on the profile and more detailed analytics tool.
However, the big problem is that Threads hardly generates significant traffic to external websites, making it more difficult to build followers because the default interface displays random recommendations instead of content from the user account that is following.
This makes it easy for articles from accounts that are little known to spread, but rarely helps increase the number of followers for the author.
Meta can believe that Threads has enough momentum to develop without having to continue to pour money into the content of the spread. However, with the ambition to turn Threads into a large platform as CEO Mark Zuckerberg has stated, no longer treating creatives could be a major barrier.
