According to Bloomberg's journalist Mark Gurman, Apple is speeding up the plan to develop a new version of Apple Vision Pro with a lighter design and cheaper price, to overcome the biggest limitations of the first generation.
Gurman's source said that Apple previously planned to release a basic upgrade of Vision Pro - mainly upgrading chips from M2 to M5 without much hardware changes. However, this plan has now been adjusted.
The future Vision Pro product line will be prioritized for applications in the business sector, where the problem of delay when wireless transmission causes many obstacles. Instead, Apple is developing a Vision Pro model that can connect directly to the Mac with a cable.
The biggest difference between these two orientations is the "role -playing" level of the user. Thanks to wired connectivity, the device will achieve extremely low latency, suitable for situations that require high accuracy such as viewing images in surgery or aircraft cockpit simulation.
In parallel with Vision Pro 2, Apple is still giving priority to developing a lighter Vision Pro version and has a more accessible price. Earlier, there was information that this project was delayed, but Gurman confirmed it was still one of the great focus of the company.
