At the Mobile World Congress 2026 event held in Barcelona (Spain), VinaPhone network (under Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group - VNPT) was honored to become the only representative of Vietnam to be awarded the "Best 5G Network Award in Vietnam and SEA" certificate by Ookla - the world's leading telecommunications speed measurement unit - - the best 5G network operator in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
Ookla's "Best 5G Network" award is awarded based on the "Speedtest Connectivity Score" index - a comprehensive measure of users' 5G mobile network experience. This index is composed of three main criteria groups including: Speed Score (overall speed and responsiveness, accounting for 50% of the total score), Web Browsing (website access and download performance, accounting for 25%) and Video Streaming (quality, smoothness when watching online videos, accounting for 25%). Ookla applies a measurement and evaluation method based on actual usage situations, through millions of measurements from users in Vietnam, reflecting customers' daily experiences.
VinaPhone's "Speedtest Connectivity Score" index reached 83.60, a clear difference compared to the remaining 2 5G carriers in Vietnam. Notably, VinaPhone's Speed Score alone is superior with 75.48 points, up 8% higher than the carrier ranked behind, thereby not only affirming its position in terms of fastest speed (Fastest 5G) but also contributing to helping VinaPhone be honored as the best 5G carrier in Vietnam.
VinaPhone's 5G network quality is also recognized at the regional and international levels when it surpassed many "big players" such as Singtel (Singapore), Unifi (Malaysia), AIS (Thailand)... to be honored as "Best 5G Network Southeast Asia" - Best 5G Network in Southeast Asia continuously in Quarter 3 and Quarter 4 of 2025.

To achieve this result, VNPT Group has synchronously deployed many technical solutions and network optimization right from the planning and development stage of VinaPhone 5G network.
During deployment, each 5G station is measured and tested multi-layer (multi-layer testing) with actual usage scenarios such as high-density data access, livestreaming, gaming and high-resolution video transmission. The system is monitored in real time through core network and wireless KPI analysis tools, allowing continuous optimization of parameters such as power output, MIMO configuration, beamforming and radio resource allocation to ensure uniform performance between regions, allowing network configuration adjustment at each time, each region, instead of just optimizing at the average level of the entire system.
