Google has just introduced a new feature called "Cinematic Video Overviews" for the NotebookLM note-taking and research platform.
This tool allows users to convert documents, notes and research data into short explanation videos created by AI, making access to complex information easier to understand.
According to an announcement from Google, the new feature has been integrated in the latest update of NotebookLM Studio.
Unlike traditional text summaries, Cinematic Video Overviews creates structured presentation videos, incorporating images, narratives, and storytelling based on user document content.
The system works by analyzing documents, notes or data sources uploaded in NotebookLM.
Then, AI will extract the main points, rearrange the content and convert them into a lively overview video.
This helps users quickly grasp important content without having to read the entire lengthy document.
According to Google, the goal of this feature is to go beyond simple summary forms.
Each video created will directly reflect the content in the original document, instead of just relying on available templates.
As a result, the video can act as a short presentation but still closely follows the initial research data.
This approach is especially useful for students, researchers and experts, who often have to process large amounts of information.
Converting documents into videos helps them review the content faster and understand the main points through images and visual explanations.
In addition to video features, NotebookLM Studio also integrates many other AI tools such as audio summaries, reports, presentations, mind maps and memory cards.
These tools allow users to convert raw research data into many different formats, suitable for learning or presentation purposes.
Currently, the Cinematic Video Overviews feature is being deployed for NotebookLM Ultra users and supported in English. Google said this tool will be expanded to more users in the near future.
This move is part of Google's strategy to deepen artificial intelligence integration into productivity tools, while making information access and analysis more intuitive, flexible and interactive.
