Previously, only those who signed up for the Pro package for $200/month could experience this tool.
Deep Research allows ChatGPT to create in-depth reports on almost any topic as required. With this expansion, users of the Plus package will be provided with 10 Deep Research queries per month, while the limit for Pro users will increase from 100 to 120 queries.
OpenAI also improved some of Deep Research's features, including embossing images next to citations to provide more intuitive information. At the same time, this system is capable of better understanding types of files, helping to analyze documents more accurately.
To use Deep Research, users just need to enter the question as usual and tap the Deep Research icon before sending the request. The processing time can range from 5 to 30 minutes, depending on the complexity of the question.
OpenAI said the feature currently requires huge amounts of computing resources, so it could take a while before free users get the chance to experience it.
