The new smartwatch line includes 3 versions: Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic and Watch Ultra (2025). Notably, the selling price will increase significantly compared to the previous generation.
According to the source, all three watch models are equipped with the new Exynos W 1,000 chip, in which the Watch 8 Classic and Ultra have a memory of 64GB, double the previous generation. The regular Galaxy Watch 8 version still holds 32GB.
The Galaxy Watch 8 will come in two sizes of 40mm and 44mm, with standard silicone wearables. The Watch 8 Classic version will use a "Premium Hybrid" strap - a combination of leather and rubber or silicone.
Meanwhile, the Watch Ultra (2025) retains the high-end sports strap from last year but adds a new color. Note, only the Watch Ultra line has LTE options for all versions, while the Watch 8 Classic does not.
The Galaxy Watch 8 series is expected to compete strongly in the high-end smartwatch segment, as Samsung continues to push for performance, storage capacity and diversify wearing options according to user needs.
By keeping the price for the Ultra version unchanged and upgrading significantly in the remaining versions, Samsung is showing its ambition to regain its position against Apple Watch and other Android rivals.
