Although continuously receiving notifications related to subscriber confirmation, Mr. Nguyen Van Long (Hanoi) has not yet implemented it because he believes that the phone number he is using is stable for many years, so it is difficult to be affected.
I think this is just a regular review. Only when reading carefully do I know that if not confirmed, some services may be restricted," Mr. Long shared.
Meanwhile, Ms. Tran Linh Trang (Bac Ninh) said that what she is most concerned about is how the SIM will be affected if the confirmation is not completed before June 15.
Many services are limited
According to the provisions of Circular 08/2026/TT-BKHCN, subscribers who have not confirmed their status on VNeID until June 15, 2026 will have their departure service temporarily suspended.
This means users will not be able to make calls from their phone number. This is also the most noticeable impact on subscribers who have not completed confirmation.
In addition to calling, SMS messaging services to other subscribers will also be temporarily suspended. For those who still use messages to contact or receive authentication codes from some services, being restricted in the direction of travel may cause no small inconvenience.
Daily communication activities are affected
The inability to make phone calls or text can directly affect work, personal communication, and daily transactions.
In particular, many people only realize the problem when they need to contact urgently or have a transaction need, but the subscriber has been restricted from the service.
According to the Telecommunications Authority (Ministry of Science and Technology), people should proactively access VNeID to check phone numbers that are in their name and confirm their subscriber status before June 15.
Confirmation only takes a few minutes but can help users avoid the risk of communication interruption when the regulation is applied.
