Spotify allows Hiding a feature after a complaint from a user

Quang Minh |

After many complaints from users, Spotify has officially added the hidden option of the "Create" button on the navigation bar at the bottom of the application.

This feature was once introduced by the company to encourage users to create playlists, but was judged to be boring.

According to Spotify's confirmation, the app has added settings that allow users to turn off this button. The option is gradually appearing on Android and iOS devices.

To turn off the "Create" button, users just need to: click on the file photo, select Settings and privacy, go to Content and display, create button

Note that this change only applies to each device, meaning you need to do the operation on all devices you use Spotify. After turning off, the downward-through navigation interface will return to the familiar three- Button layout.

Spotify's response listening and letting users proactively turn off the "Create" button shows that the platform is gradually prioritizing personalized experiences. Previously, many users thought that this button took up unnecessary space, confused the interface and caused confusion when using it. The new move not only helps streamline the navigation bar, but also brings a better sense of control to users with the familiar way of arranging applications.

In the context of increasingly fierce competition between online music listening platforms, small refinements in interface and function like this can make a big difference. When users feel listened to and have more decision-making in how they interact with the app, their satisfaction and engagement will increase significantly.
