Fresh off the announcement of hitting 300 million users with over 100 million daily active users, Threads seems to be gearing up for a major change. Meta is focusing on introducing more features specifically designed for brands and businesses.
According to an update from Adam Mosseri - CEO of Meta, Threads is about to launch a feature that allows users to schedule posts.
He shared a first look at the feature, revealing a simple tool in the post editor that lets users choose a date and time for posts to be published automatically.
Mosseri says the scheduling feature only applies to new posts, not replies, because Threads wants to prioritize “real-time conversations.”
While there's no specific timetable for widespread rollout, he revealed the feature has been in development "for months," suggesting it could launch in the near future.
This feature could be a game-changer for brands, content creators, and account managers on Threads. While third-party scheduling tools already exist, many come at a cost, making this built-in option worth it.
However, the launch of the scheduled post feature is another sign that Meta is positioning Threads as a more brand- and business-friendly platform.
Earlier this month, the platform began testing a post analytics feature. And both of these features could be strategic moves in preparation for the rumored ad rollout next month.
