TikTok builds a new version in the US

TikTok will launch a new version in the US on September 5 as part of a 'sell- itself' deal.

Accordingly, TikTok users in the US will have to switch to home to another version of the application. The current version is still valid until March 2026. This update will address US concerns and allow TikTok's new owner to take control of the app.

It is known that a coalition of non-Chinese technology enterprises is planning to buy TikTok's business operations in the US. Among them is Oracle, while ByteDance - TikTok's parent company, still maintains a small stake.

It can be said that TikTok's "selling itself" came from the last days of the administration of former US President Joe Biden. Due to data concerns, the US passed a law forcing ByteDance to divest from TikTok if it does not want to be banned from operating in the US.

The Trump administration is pushing to sell TikTok to US buyers. However, any deal would need to be approved by the Chinese government.

On the other hand, since the beginning of the year, US President Donald Trump has extended TikTok sales three times. The latest deadline for TikTok to "sell itself" is September 17 this year.

On the other hand, in an interview with Fox News published on June 29, President Donald Trump revealed that he has a group of "very rich" people willing to buy TikTok. He will release the identities of these people in two more weeks.

On July 4, the US President said he would begin talks with China on July 7 or 8 about a potential deal related to TikTok.
