Tinder - an online dating app is still struggling with revenue, as the number of paying users decreased by 7% in the second quarter of 2025.
To turn things around, Match Group - the owner of Tinder said it will launch many new features to increase interaction and encourage users to spend money.
At the second quarter business results announcement meeting, Match Group's leaders revealed that Tinder is about to launch a feature that will allow users to choose different dating goals to explore new connections in real time. This feature is considered an upgraded version from the option of displaying relationship goals in previous user profits.
Tinder is also planning to redesign the interface, while developing features specifically for college students - the group of Gen Z users that the application wants to conquer.
Another feature allows users to open their hearts to specific parts of the other persons profile, paving the way for conversations to start with a common point.
Tinder is currently testing AI pairing in New Zealand, in which the system will suggest subjects based on profile information, interview answers, and even photos in a personal library (if users agree to share). This feature is about to be expanded to other areas.
In addition, Tinder also considers implementing specialized features for students, such as finding friends in school or between selected schools, to attract university users.
