Facebook Dating dating feature impresses

The Facebook dating feature - Facebook dating is creating a big boost for this social network.

When mentioning online dating apps, many people will immediately think of familiar names such as Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Grindr or less well-known names such as Lex. However, the social network giant Facebook has had this feature for a long time.

Facebook dating was born in 2019, allowing users to create free dating accounts right on the app, where they can across the screen and connect with other eligible singles.

Facebook puts its dating products in the center of the main navigation bar below the app. Even if your relationship status is not single, dating Facebook still holds a prominent position.

Surprisingly, Facebook's dating feature is increasingly popular with young people. According to data shared by Meta - Facebook's parent company, Facebook dating has 21.5 million daily active users (DA Users) in 52 countries.

Young people are also increasingly favoring this feature. Facebook dating currently has 1.77 million users aged 18-29 in the US, keeping up with its competitors. Sensor Tower app analysis company estimates that as of this summer in the US, Tinder has 7.3 million active users of all ages; Hinge has 4.4 million; Bumble has 3.6 million; and Grindr has 2.2 million.

According to experts, the popularity of Facebook dating is a sign that Facebook is self-innovative. The main social media feed of this app has become less popular over time compared to younger apps like Instagram and TikTok. However, along with Facebook Marketplace, dating Facebook shows that a long-standing social network can still maintain its appeal.

Facebook dating has been developing in the context of other dating apps struggling. The company said that the number of users under 30 participating in the chat increased by 7% compared to the same period last year.

According to a Facebook dating management leader, the advantage of this feature is that it is free and easy to use for everyone. Facebook earns money from advertising revenue when users spend time on the application in general, which is very different from applications like Hinge, which mainly earn money from subscription fees.
