For the government, the Digital Citizen App is an effective channel to record, manage and immediately handle real-life incidents arising in the area, based on transparently provided data.
Through this, the government can also quickly and promptly provide people with information about the city's activities; propagate newly issued policies, regulations, and laws; post news, announcements, and emergency warnings, etc.
To install the Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen App, people search and download the application on Google Play (for Android operating system) and App Store (for IOS operating system) with the application name "Ho Chi Minh City Digital Citizen". After downloading, people log in only once through the electronic identification account of Vietnamese citizens (VNeID account).
In the immediate future, in the first phase (from now until December 31, 2014), the Digital Citizen App provides 12 main groups of features, displayed in the Digital Citizen section including: Reflection and recommendations, Education, Healthcare, Tourism - newsletter, Traffic, Construction, State agencies, Public services - Profile lookup, Maps, General accounts, VNeID and Interaction of notifications - news - collecting people's opinions...
The deployment of the Digital Citizen App affirms the city's determination to improve its digital transformation capacity, in parallel with the implementation of the Project on developing applications for population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation and the city's Digital Transformation Program.
The Digital Citizen App is built on a platform that connects and integrates data from departments and branches, with comprehensive user data security, in compliance with the provisions of Decree No. 13/2023/ND-CP of the Government on personal data protection.
