Virtual assistant on made-in-Vietnam cars reaches 1 million downloads

Kiki Auto, a Vietnamese virtual assistant that can communicate with users by voice and is integrated into cars, has reached 1 million installations.

This Zalo AI virtual assistant was launched in December 2020 and after 4 years has reached 1 million installs.

According to records, Kiki Auto has nearly 1,100 installations and uses every day in 2024, with some times reaching up to 2,000.

According to reviews from the community and experts, Kiki Auto is loved by users for its ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for music, directions, and car controls thanks to its ability to listen and understand Vietnamese well.

The easy communication between the driver and AI has helped Kiki Auto quickly become popular in Vietnam.

Kiki Auto has upgraded the speed warning feature experience version compared to the previous limited trial version, supporting trial use until March 2025.

Sharing about this feature, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Khanh Duy - Product Manager of the manufacturing unit - said: "With the existing strong advantages of AI as well as the experience of developing products for Vietnamese people, the team has integrated complex data and signal processing algorithms to ensure accuracy as well as optimize user experience.

In the future, we will continue to upgrade this feature to help drivers stay steady on all roads."

Compared to the first test version, the current version has been upgraded in terms of accuracy as well as enhanced speed data on inter-provincial routes. The development team also optimized performance and refined the user experience.

In the coming time, Kiki Auto will develop more new useful and practical features exclusively for Vietnamese people.

With this orientation, the development team will further strengthen Kiki Auto's understanding and communication capabilities in Vietnamese, thereby bringing many new smart driving features in addition to the features that are familiar to users such as directions, listening to music, looking up information or checking fines.

According to the Global Industry 2024 report, the market for intelligent virtual assistants in cars was valued at 2.4 billion USD in 2022 and is expected to reach 8.6 billion USD in 2030, with a compound growth rate of 17.3% from 2024 to 2030. In 2025 alone, the market is valued at 3.6 billion USD.

Sharing with Lao Dong, an expert in this field said that in Vietnam, there are two domestically developed smart virtual assistant software for cars: Kiki Auto by Zalo AI and Vivi developed by VinFast.

There are many similar products from foreign companies on the market, but they do not have the advantage of Vietnamese language and localization, like products made in Vietnam.

It is estimated that on average, 1 out of every 5 cars running on the road in Vietnam will have Kiki Auto installed.
