Vietnam International Digital Week 2024 (VIDW 2024) has the theme "Virtual Assistant".
The event attracted delegates from nearly 30 countries, along with many international organizations and leading technology businesses.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Vietnam is striving to promote regional and international cooperation in the field of digital technology, especially prioritizing initiatives on AI and virtual assistants to move towards sustainable development, ensuring transparency, fairness and responsibility.
VIDW 2024 is organized on the largest scale ever, including 12 main events and many sideline activities, expected to attract more than 600 domestic and foreign delegates.
The event's key topics include virtual assistant applications, AI governance, digital infrastructure development, digital human resources, and legal frameworks for 5G.
Within the framework of the program, the plenary session will focus on discussions between representatives of the Government, international organizations and business leaders on strengthening digital partnerships.
Next, the 5th 5G Summit will address Open RAN issues and new initiatives in 5G technology deployment in the ASEAN region.
The program takes place from November 19 to 22.
