According to Lao Dong, on the morning of June 30, the VNeID electronic identification application was continuously congested and difficult to access. The reason is said to be that a large number of users logged in at the same time to check hometown information after the provinces announced the merger of administrative units.
According to many people's feedback, the application continuously Uploads data but reports "Connection to the system fails", "Changes cannot perform requests" or "System is being maintained".
Preparing to merge to Hung Yen province, Ms. Ngoc Minh (Thai Binh) hastily checked the new hometown on the VNeID system but continuously encountered errors.
"I kept logging in but couldn't access it. After successfully logging in a few times, the hometown address has not changed. However, information such as birth registration place, permanent residence, current residence have been updated according to the new administrative unit, including commune/ward, province/city..." - Ms. Minh informed.
Mr. Duc Minh (Hanoi) said that not only looking up information, but also related applications or content on VNeID are affected because they cannot log in to the application. Not only VNeID, but digital map platforms such as Google Maps or Apple Maps have not yet updated the names of new provinces and cities.
According to records, until around 11:30 a.m. the same day, the application was still constantly having errors, making it inaccessible to users.
