Lemon juice
Lemon is a rich source of vitamin C, citrate and antioxidants, which help neutralize uric acid and reduce the risk of developing acute gout.
According to research in the Journal of Preventive Medicine, drinking lemon water every day helps increase the excretion of uric acid through urine, reducing uric acid levels in the blood. A 2015 study also showed that consuming lemon juice for 6 weeks significantly reduces uric acid levels in gout patients.
How to use: Squeeze half a lemon into 200ml of warm water, drink in the morning.
You can add a little honey to make it easier to drink.
Green tea
Green tea contains catechin, flavonoids and polyphenols - powerful antioxidants that help reduce inflammation, protect joints and support the liver and kidneys to excrete uric acid more effectively.
According to research in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, green tea helps inhibit the enzyme xanthine oxidase, reducing uric acid production in the body. A 2021 study showed that green tea reduces inflammation and the risk of acute gout outbreaks.
You can drink 1-2 cups of green tea per day (no sugar).
It should be drunk in the morning or before meals to increase effectiveness.
Celery juice
Celery is alkaline, rich in apigenin, flavonoids and fiber, which help reduce arthritis and prevent the synthesis of uric acid in joints.
According to the Journal of Nutrition & Metabolism, celery extract has a diuretic effect, helping to increase the excretion of uric acid through urine and reduce the risk of urate crystalline formation in joints.
Blend 2-3 celery branches with 200ml of water, drink every day.
Can be combined with cucumber and lemon to increase effectiveness.
Warm water mixed with apple cider vinegar
Apple cider vinegar contains acetic acid, enzymes and probiotics, which help improve digestion, help the kidneys excrete uric acid and reduce inflammation.
According to research in the Journal of Natural Medicine, apple cider vinegar helps balance the pH in the body, reduces the risk of uric acid accumulation and supports gout control.
Mix 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in 250ml of warm water, drink before meals.
Do not drink too much to avoid affecting your stomach.
