1. Supplement enough water for the body
Drinking enough water every day helps the kidneys work more effectively in blood filtration and waste removal, while contributing to limiting the risk of kidney stones forming. Most adults should maintain about 1.8-2 liters of water/day. However, people with kidney disease need to consult a doctor before increasing their water intake.
2. Build a scientific diet
A diet rich in green vegetables, fresh fruits and whole grains is beneficial for kidney function. Meanwhile, consuming too much salt, processed foods or sugary drinks can increase the risk of high blood pressure and diabetes - common causes of kidney disease. Berries, green leafy vegetables and nutritious nuts are considered good for this organ.
3. Control blood pressure and blood sugar
Maintaining stable blood pressure and blood sugar levels helps reduce pressure on the kidneys, limiting the risk of prolonged damage. People at high risk should regularly monitor these indicators, combine with a reasonable diet, exercise and take medication as directed if necessary.
4. Maintain regular exercise
Regular exercise helps improve blood circulation, supports blood pressure and blood sugar levels, thereby helping kidneys function better. Experts recommend spending about 45 minutes each day on activities such as walking, cycling or swimming, maintaining about 5 days a week.

Regular health checks help detect early kidney abnormalities for timely treatment, limiting dangerous complications. People with diabetes or high blood pressure need to monitor kidney function periodically through necessary tests.
