How to detoxify the body during Tet is of interest to many people because this is a time when eating is difficult to be as regular as usual.

Tet holiday is a time when people often consume a lot of protein, fat and alcoholic beverages, making the body easily fall into a state of internal heat, bloating and fatigue.

There is a type of vegetable that many people choose as a solution to support detoxification, naturally and safely detoxify the body if used correctly. That is pennywort.

Pennywort is cool and has a high water content, helping to soothe the body after days of eating a lot of greasy food.

During Tet, supplementing pennywort helps support liver and kidney function in the process of eliminating unnecessary substances from the body. Nutrients in pennywort such as flavonoids, vitamin C and antioxidants contribute to reducing internal heat, acne or constipation - common problems after Tet.

One of the most common ways to use pennywort for detoxification is to drink fresh pennywort juice. Pennywort after being washed, ground and filtered to get juice can be drunk whole or diluted with filtered water.

To make it easier to drink, you can add a little rock sugar or honey, but do not add too much to avoid back effects. Drink pennywort water 2-3 times a week to help cool down the body and support metabolism.

Pennywort can also be used in daily dishes such as mixed pennywort, pennywort served with boiled meat or soup.

Incorporating pennywort into meals helps increase fiber, supports digestion and reduces feeling of greasiness when eating many protein-rich dishes during Tet. This method is suitable for people who are not used to drinking raw pennywort juice but still want to take advantage of the benefits of this vegetable.

However, using pennywort for detoxification also needs to be moderate. Do not drink too much or drink continuously for a long time, as it can cause stomach chills or affect the digestive system in some people.

More importantly, pennywort only plays a supporting role and cannot replace a healthy lifestyle.

Combining the reasonable use of pennywort with a balanced diet, drinking enough water and gentle exercise will help the body recover quickly and become healthier after Tet.
