Soup dishes that seem to be nutritious but silently "worn away" kidneys

Some familiar types of soup, if used regularly or processed incorrectly, can increase the burden on the kidneys and cause long-term damage that few people pay attention to.

Sour bone soup for so long

Bone soup is believed by many to be rich in calcium, but in fact, the calcium content in the broth is negligible. Conversely, simmering bones for a long time can cause heavy metals such as lead from bones to be released into the water.

Lead is a toxic substance that can directly damage the kidneys, especially kidney tubes. Regular consumption of this type of soup can increase the risk of affecting kidney function over time.

Spicy and sour soup, thick soup with a lot of starch

Spicy soups often use tapioca starch or starch to create consistency. This is a group of foods with a high glycemic index, which can cause blood sugar to rise rapidly after eating.

In addition, some common ingredients such as tofu or bamboo shoots contain a lot of oxalate. When accumulated, this substance can combine with calcium to form stones, causing adverse effects on the kidneys if prolonged.

Canned soup, instant soup

Canned or ready-to-eat soups and soups often contain a lot of salt, preservatives and additives to prolong the shelf life.

These substances, when entering the body, will increase the metabolic and excretory burden on the kidneys. In particular, inorganic phosphate in processed foods has a high absorption capacity, easily causing mineral disorders and affecting kidney function.

Chinese medicine soup of unknown origin

Traditional Chinese medicine soups are often considered nutritious, but if ingredients of unknown origin are used, the risk is very high. Many types of herbs may contain unusually high levels of potassium.

When the amount of potassium in the blood increases beyond the allowed level, the body may experience symptoms such as fatigue, muscle weakness, numbness in limbs. In severe cases, this condition can also affect the cardiovascular system, even causing dangerous heart rhythm disorders.

Animal organ soup

Vegetable soups cooked from liver, intestines, and kidneys of animals often contain high levels of purines and cholesterol. Consuming a lot of these foods can increase uric acid in the blood, thereby putting pressure on the kidneys during filtration and excretion. In addition, high fat content also contributes to metabolic disorders.

Hotpot broth at the end of the meal

After cooking for a long time, hot pot broth accumulates many substances from food, spices and additives. When ingredients are cooked for too long, hot pot broth may contain many compounds that are not good for health.

In particular, processed foods such as hot pot balls and sausages contain a lot of inorganic phosphorus that is almost completely easily absorbed. When the phosphorus level increases, the kidneys have to work harder to excrete it, easily leading to overload.

Salty ramen broth

The broth of ramen is famous for its rich flavor but also contains a very high amount of sodium. Consuming too much sodium for a long time can increase blood pressure and put pressure on the kidney's filtering system.

When the kidneys have to work continuously to process large amounts of salt, the risk of damage and functional decline will increase, especially if this habit is maintained for a long time.

Wait overnight, reheat several times

Leaving the soup for a long time or reheating it many times can change the nutritional composition, and at the same time increase the risk of producing unfavorable compounds.

In addition, if stored improperly, bacteria can develop, forcing the body to increase detoxification activity. This indirectly increases pressure on the kidneys.
