The truth about eating eggs can help increase height

After a certain age, your height will stop increasing.

Eggs are always considered a rich source of nutrition. There are many opinions that eggs can help increase height.

Many people have the habit of starting their day by eating eggs for breakfast because they are easy to find and quick to prepare.

Egg whites are also low in fat and contain no cholesterol, making eggs a popular choice for people looking to control their weight or cholesterol levels, nutritionists say.

Dr Bhavana P, Head of Nutrition, Gleneagles Hospital, Lakdi Ka Pul, Hyderabad (India) - said that eggs are rich in high-quality protein, which is important for muscle development, tissue repair and growth.

Eggs also contain important vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin D, which helps the body absorb calcium (a key nutrient for bone health). Adequate calcium intake contributes to stronger bones, which is essential for optimal height growth.

In addition, the vitamins and minerals in eggs such as iron, phosphorus and vitamin B12 will support healthy body functions, contributing to growth. But Dr. Bhavana P also affirmed that eggs do not determine whether you can increase your height or not.

Meanwhile, nutritionist Fauziya Ansari at Apollo Spectra Mumbai (India) – said that eggs are believed to have significant benefits for physical health. However, there is no direct correlation between eating eggs and increasing height.

“Eggs or any other food, vegetables or fruits, cannot make you taller instantly. Your height is determined by genetics, nutritional intake and physical activity,” notes nutritionist Ansari.

Agreeing, Dr Bhavana P added: “Height growth will depend on the parents’ genes and good nutrition during pregnancy for strong bones and fetal development, as well as physical activity along with a well-balanced diet.”

After a certain age, your height stops growing because the growth plates in your bones responsible for increasing height tend to close.

Studies have shown that regular participation in physical activities such as cycling, yoga and stretching, combined with a healthy diet can help increase height by a few inches.
