Linh Trang |

The modern, large-scale plastic recycling complex in Vietnam, aiming at the development of the circular plastic industry has just been launched in Thanh Hoa.

Stavian recycled plastic Joint Stock Company officially received the Investment Registration Certificate of the Stavian Plastic Recycling Complex Project in Nghi Son Economic Zone, Thanh Hoa Province.

This complex was built at lot CN2-1, Nghi Son Economic Zone Industrial Park, Thanh Hoa province - one of the key industrial centers in the North Central region, possessing a synchronous infrastructure, convenient logistics and connecting the domestic recycling material supply chain. The project has a modern investment scale, using the world's leading, modern, advanced and environmentally friendly technology and equipment, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, saving energy and water resources, and has a very high level of automation, meeting the most strict standards of leading express consumer brands (FMCG) in the US and Europe.

In phase 1, the Stavian Plastic Recycling Complex has an expected capacity of about 17,000 tons/year, with the goal of recycling after-use PET plastic bottles into high-quality rPET plastic granules, meeting the standards for use in the food bottling industry. The product will be provided to multinational corporations and major brands in the beverage and packaging industries, contributing to promoting the circular economic model in Vietnam.

Expected to be put into operation in the first quarter of 2027, the Complex will create a stable source of raw materials, contributing to replacing imported primary plastic, while encouraging recycling behavior in the community and supporting the construction of an ecosystem for classifying - collecting - treating plastic waste according to international standards.

With the orientation of sustainable development according to ESG standards and EPR policies in Vietnam, the Stavian Plastic Recycling Complex Project is expected to create positive and long-term impacts on the environment, society and economy.

In terms of environment, the Complex will contribute to the treatment of hundreds of millions of post-consumption plastic bottles in Vietnam each year, reducing emissions of more than 30,000 tons of CO2 equivalent to/year compared to the use of whole plastic, while minimizing plastic waste pollution into the environment - including waste in river and ocean ecosystems.

In terms of society, the Complex will promote the construction of an ecosystem for collecting and classifying plastic waste, creating more direct and indirect job opportunities for local workers, thereby contributing to improving livelihoods and raising awareness of environmental protection in the community.

Not only that, Stavian Plastic Recycling Complex will contribute to promoting the national economy by providing a source of high-quality recycled plastic granules that meet international standards, meeting the requirements of leading domestic and regional brands, while increasing the value of the plastic industry chain, promoting exports and developing the green raw material market in Vietnam.

Speaking about the green transformation journey, Mr. Dinh Duc Thang - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Stavian Group shared: Receiving the Investment Certificate for the Stavian Plastic Recycling Complex Project is an important first step in the journey to build a modern, synchronous and sustainable recycling complex in Vietnam. This is not only an industrial project, but also a long-term commitment of Stavian Group to accompany Vietnam's green growth strategy, circular economic development and Net Zero goal. We believe that the project will contribute to changing the thinking about raw materials, increasing value for the plastic industry and spreading the spirit of recycling and regeneration in the community and businesses.
