The trip back to Hue at the end of May 2025 is an emotional journey of Chairwoman Dang Thi Kim Oanh in particular and Kim Oanh Group, the Golden Heart foundation in general, marked by two meaningful activities: joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for people and bringing joy on the occasion of the International Children's Day 1/6 to children being treated at Hue Central Children's Hospital.
Accompanying the temporary house removal program - Giving shelter, building trust
With the mindset of "wherever you grow up, it is also the place you need to show gratitude and return to", Kim Oanh Group and the Tu Tam Startup Fund have donated 10 billion VND to support the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Thua Thien Hue - a program of profound humanitarian significance, being widely implemented by Hue City under the direction of the Government.
Specifically, the funding will be used to build 40 new houses, each worth 100 million VND; repair 200 dilapidated houses, each house supported with 30 million VND. These are not just numbers, but hearts of gratitude, loving bricks that contribute to building a peaceful life for the homeland's people.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee affirmed: "The work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is one of the key tasks that the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City have strongly directed, in order to improve people's lives and achieve the goal of sustainable poverty reduction.
The city has been mobilizing many social resources in the spirit of "Joining hands for the poor - Leaving no one behind", contributing to taking care of policy households, poor households, and near-poor households in the area".
At the event, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh expressed his deep gratitude to Ms. Dang Thi Kim Oanh, Kim Oanh Group and the Golden Startup Fund for their companionship, concern and practical contributions in supporting the City in many aspects.
Giving 1/6 gifts to children - Waves of love spread at Hue National Children's Hospital
On this occasion, Kim Oanh Group and the Golden Heart foundation continue to spread love to small green shoots that are struggling with diseases every day at the Department of Pediatrics - Oncology, Hue National Children's Hospital. 2 billion VND has been donated through the " Song Chua Lanh" project, to accompany the hospital in improving the quality of treatment and care for children.
On the occasion of Children's Day 1/6, 85 gifts were given to sick children so that they have more joy and motivation to overcome adversity.
"We met children who had been hospitalized for 7-12 years, along with families from all over the country, with serious cases from Hanoi, the northern mountainous region to the southwest region all brought here for treatment. When asked why we are not treated in local hospitals, the answer made us speechless: For the Department of Pediatrics - Oncology, Hue Central Children's Hospital is one of only two places in the country that can perform special techniques such as stem cell transplantation and bone marrow transplantation. Having just passed through a department of a hospital, but having seen so much pain and deprivation, I could not help but wonder: how many more departments are like that? How many hospitals like Hue need support?", Chairwoman Dang Thi Kim Oanh emotionally shared. In addition to the pre-prepared gifts, when witnessing the difficult circumstances firsthand, Chairwoman Dang Thi Kim Oanh used the money she brought with her to support more serious cases.
Signing the support at the Department of Pediatrics - Oncology of Hue National Children's Hospital is not only a material gift, but also a way to add confidence and motivation to the medical team, so that they can boldly propose and implement more special treatment programs, helping children have more opportunities to overcome the disease, return to the innocent childhood that they should have had.
I just hope to have more health, to continue working, to continue creating more value, not for myself, but to support many younger children, to help more people, the simple wish of Chairman Dang Thi Kim Oanh has spread love not only through actions, but also through each eye, each hand in the journey of sharing.
