Can Tho City People's Committee has just issued a Plan to implement the emulation movement "Strongly develop private enterprises, improve the efficiency of state-owned enterprises" in the area. This plan sets out a series of emulation targets until 2030.
Regarding the efficiency indicators of state-owned enterprises: revenue and profit of enterprises grow steadily and sustainably each year, contributing to the GRDP growth target; the return on equity is maintained and improved each year; 100% of state-owned enterprises implement financial and governance transparency according to regulations.
Regarding business development targets and the private economic sector: the number of newly registered enterprises increases from 300 enterprises/year; the average growth rate of the private economy reaches 10%/year or more; the private economic sector contributes about 78 - 80% of Can Tho City's GRDP...
Regarding economic growth targets and budget contribution: the average GRDP growth rate in the period reached 10 - 10.5%/year; total state budget revenue in the area increased by an average of 15%/year; striving to reach 57,000 billion VND by 2030;...
According to the People's Committee of Can Tho City, the emulation movement will be implemented from 2026 to 2030, divided into 2 phases: phase 1 (from 2026 to 11.6.2028) and phase 2 (from July 2028 to 2030).
This plan also provides information on emulation criteria and forms of commendation. Including annual commendation (commendation certificate of the Chairman of the City People's Committee, certificate of merit); preliminary review commendation (commendation certificate of the Prime Minister, certificate of merit of the Chairman of the City People's Committee, certificate of merit) and summary commendation (Labor Order, Government Emulation Flag, Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit, City People's Committee Emulation Flag, Certificate of Merit of the Chairman of the City People's Committee, certificate of merit).
