At the conference, delegates were thoroughly grasped the City Police's Plan on ensuring security and safety for the 2026 High School Graduation Exam in the area; clearly assigning tasks to each functional unit.
At the same time, clarify the key contents that need to be focused on implementing in the coordination process, thereby ensuring that the exam takes place safely, seriously, in accordance with regulations, and does not allow passive or unexpected situations to occur.
In the discussion section, representatives of professional units of the City Police and representatives of some commune and ward police focused on assessing difficulties and obstacles from the actual situation of the area; proposing solutions to ensure security and safety of the Exam associated with population characteristics, infrastructure conditions and security and order situation.
Colonel Huynh Hoai Han - Deputy Director of Can Tho City Police emphasized that 2026 is a year of special significance as this is the year that the first exam is organized after localities implemented arrangement and operation according to the model of two-level local government and merged 3 provinces and cities. Therefore, the requirement for the Police force is to absolutely ensure the security and safety of the exam with the highest spirit of proactiveness, highest responsibility and the most comprehensive handling plan.
The Deputy Director of the City Police also requested that the Police of units and localities must highly unify their awareness of the meaning and importance of the Exam, clearly define the awareness and responsibility of officials directly involved in tasks at the Boards; strictly comply with the regulations of the People's Police throughout the duration of their duties; ensure absolute safety in all stages of the Exam, promptly detect loopholes, shortcomings, and negative conditions of cheating in exams to propose handling.
In addition, coordinate with the Department of Education and Training to promptly disseminate to teachers in charge of exam supervision about methods of detecting and preventing the use of high-tech equipment for cheating in exams.
Proactively grasp and forecast the situation in a timely manner, coordinate to strictly handle cases of violations of the Exam Regulations, especially paying attention to detecting and preventing cases of leakage and loss of exam papers, hired exams, exams for others, and the use of technological equipment for fraud.
At the press conference on the afternoon of June 3rd on the 2026–2027 high school entrance exam and the 2026 high school graduation exam, Mr. Danh Hoang Nguyen - Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Can Tho City said that the Department has requested schools to compile a list of candidates using hearing aids and send information to the police force to serve the work of preventing and combating exam cheating.
According to Mr. Nguyen, cases of not registering but carrying or using electronic devices or listening devices in the exam room will be handled according to the exam regulations when detected and considered to be violating regulations.
The 2026 high school graduation exam in Can Tho has 34,228 registered candidates. In which, General education 29,425 candidates; Continuing education 2,950 candidates; Liberal arts 63 candidates who have not graduated; Liberal arts 1,790 candidates who have graduated. In addition, the number of freelance candidates who only registered for admission accounts is 468 candidates.
Establish 80 official exam sites with 1,515 exam rooms; 33 waiting rooms and 80 backup exam sites. All exam sites (official and backup) are guaranteed to be isolated areas, ensuring security, safety, and traffic convenience.
