Materials
To make a small cake, beginners can prepare 4 chicken eggs, 100 g of sugar, 100 g of multi-purpose flour, 20 ml of fresh milk, 20 ml of cooking oil and a little vanilla. The frosting part includes 300 ml of whipping cream and 30 g of powdered sugar. You can also prepare strawberries, blueberries, mangoes, chocolate or colored rice to decorate according to your preferences.
Eggs should be used at room temperature to make the mixture easier to fluff. A cake mold of about 16-18 cm is suitable for this recipe.
Simple way to make cream cake
First, separate the egg whites and yolks. Beat the egg whites until they foam, then add sugar slowly and continue to beat until the mixture is smooth, creating soft peaks. Gently beat the yolks with milk, cooking oil and vanilla, then sift the wheat flour and mix well.
Add the yolk mixture to the egg whites, use a whisk to mix lightly in one direction to limit bursting air bubbles. Pour the dough into a mold lined with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to about 170 degrees C, then bake the cake for about 30-35 minutes. When the cake is cooked, take it out and let it cool completely.
Next, beat whipping cream with flour until the cream is thick and has a moderate consistency. Cut the cake into two or three layers, spread a thin layer of cream between the layers and then coat the cream on the outside. Finally, decorate with fruit, chocolate or simple patterns.
For occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, holidays or family parties, a homemade cake that does not need to be elaborate still creates a special feeling. Makers can write their name, age or wishes on the cake surface to increase personal touch. The most important thing is to let the cake cool completely before frosting and store the cake in the refrigerator if not used immediately.
