Talking to director Le Hoang, memories from the past are still intact in Ms. B's mind. At the age of 26, she got married. Due to difficult family circumstances on both sides, the couple worked together to nurture each other. At that time, she was a tailor, and her husband had just graduated from a security school. For more than two years, the two have not minded difficulties, doing everything they could to buy a house.
Ms. B's husband graduated with a secondment to the army and continued to study Law. All the economic burden of the family was taken care of by Ms. B. She always told herself to try hard. During that time, she never felt difficult, jealous or resentful towards her husband.
One day, a close friend visited Ms. B and asked her if her husband often came home. Ms. B replied: "He is very busy, he has to go to work all the time, even on holidays". Hearing that, the friend was extremely upset, because she had seen Ms. B's husband go to the motel many times with a strange woman.
When her husband returned, Ms. B asked him where he had gone and what he was doing that day, because someone saw him go into the motel. Ms. B's husband was surprised, but then he hugged her and explained: "That day I was on a special mission so I had to wear a dress, I was assured, there was nothing".
After a while, Ms. B's friend came back, this time bringing a lot of evidence. She said: "The day before, when I went to a friend's house to play, I brought some souvenir photos from the past. Among them were photos of the couple, the new friend was startled. After asking about the two, my friend said that he and his wife often went to the motel with a girl from another province."
Two days later, when her husband returned from work, Ms. B frankly asked him everything, but he still firmly denied it. Ms. B was extremely sad. Her husband trusted her wholeheartedly and sacrificed too much but still betrayed her.
Many times, Ms. B wanted to give up, but because her child was still young, she tried to lift her spirit, take care of her health, and quietly follow her husband. Knowing that his wife was suspicious, Ms. B's husband met the other person less and changed the motel location.
After a period of monitoring, Ms. B discovered that the girl was also married. She was a goods trader and was deceived by others into losing her goods, so she reported to the police, and Ms. B's husband was the one to handle the case.
One day, after receiving news that her husband and lover had been at the motel for 30 minutes, 10 km from Hanoi, Ms. B and two friends and sister-in-law arrived and rushed straight into the jealousy room. After that, Ms. B asked both of them to write a statement and leave. Since that day, the two have lived apart. Because her child was still young, Ms. B wanted to divorce before waiting for her child to grow up. Later, Ms. B's husband was very remorseful and apologized, but Ms. B could not accept it. When Ms. B's child entered college, she officially divorced, after 15 years of separation.
After listening to the story, director Le Hoang analyzed: "After 15 years of separation and then leading to divorce, in my opinion, it was a terrible mistake. I think you have lost too much faith in yourself, thinking that you will no longer have the opportunity to find new happiness. I strongly object to separation, because it deprives women of an extremely important thing, which is time.
We sacrifice our whole life for someone, whether it is our husband or children, but we forget one thing that they do not need that sacrifice. I would never support women in separation or living alone. You have to definitely divorce. After a divorce, you should not live alone, if you don't have a husband, you also have to have a boyfriend".
