Ha Thi Hoa originated from the training academy of the Ministry of Information, but was most successful when she wore the shirt of the Vietnam Bank for Industry and Trade (Vietinbank) club.
The female athlete fell in love with volleyball at the age of 14-15, then gradually became an excellent setter of Vietinbank and the national team. In more than 20 years of attachment, she won 4 SEA Games silver medals, and together with the team reached 4th place at the Asian Women's Volleyball Cup in 2012...
At the age of 40, Ha Thi Hoa announced her retirement, switching to coaching. By 2025, the female setter unexpectedly reappeared on the field in phase 2 of the Vietnam National Championship in Vietinbank's colors.
However, Ha Thi Hoa's main job is still talent training (level 3) at the club. At the same time, she also spends a lot of time with her family after years of playing volleyball.
Ha Thi Hoa and her husband Ta Duc Hieu accidentally met in Vinh Phuc. At that time, the former Hanoi ACB goalkeeper went to a friend's house to play, meeting Ha Thi Hoa who was training with the Vietnamese women's team.
From the first meeting, Ta Duc Hieu's mother loved the setter born in 1984. After a long time of getting to know each other and dating, the couple got married in 2008. To date, Ha Thi Hoa and Ta Duc Hieu have two children.
Ta Duc Hieu used to be the goalkeeper of Hanoi ACB men's football team. For a while, he also became acquainted with volleyball. After retiring, Hieu returned to work at Vietinbank women's volleyball team as a fitness coach, providing professional support to young athletes.
The couple accompanies each other in training, becoming a solid support in their careers. Ha Thi Hoa and Ta Duc Hieu often give each other advice when working, helping their partners in difficult times.
Despite being busy with work, the couple always tries to prioritize their families, arranging time to take turns going home after each training session. When Ha Thi Hoa gathers with the national team, goes to training, competes... Mr. Hieu will take care of the children, from going to the market, cooking, picking up and dropping off to teaching.
During the years of sports competition, Ha Thi Hoa and Ta Duc Hieu built a spacious house in Vinh Phuc. After that, the couple had another new house in Hanoi, which is the result of years of dedication and accumulation.
