After 3 seasons of organization, the contest "Father and daughter" launched by Vietnam Family Magazine has attracted the attention of many readers and writers, becoming a meaningful bridge, where each person has the opportunity to express their affection for their beloved father and daughter.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the award ceremony, journalist Ho Minh Chien - Editor-in-Chief of Vietnam Family Magazine - said that this year, the Organizing Committee received nearly 1,000 works from many provinces and cities across the country. All have created a colorful contest, no story is like another story, every story touches the emotions of many people" - journalist Ho Minh Chien said.
This year, the contest rules have a new point when adding content specifically for the daughters of revolutionaries and those who have contributed to the country. Stories written from the affection between father and child in families with rich revolutionary traditions will become a valuable source of documentation, contributing to inspiring today's generation.
As a judge, poet Hong Thanh Quang commented that this year's contest recorded many profound, high-quality works, making readers cry with a variety of genres such as memories, short stories, notes, and prose.
At the ceremony, Dr. Nguyen Thuy Anh - founder of the Book Club with Children - was awarded the First Prize. "The Voice" with the emotional stories of a daughter with a strict father, has touched the hearts of many readers.
Sharing about her work, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Anh could not hide her emotions when remembering her deceased father: For 18 years with my father, there were emotions and worries that I could not put into words. Through the contest, I had the opportunity to write stories about him and even the secret wishes of my daughter for her father who is a soldier. There is always a very special bond between father and daughter, which contains the love of both father and mother.
